Based on the successful V1.0 - 2.1, the Talon Mapping drone, and the Nano Talon drone, we took feedback from our engineering team, our customers across the country, and around the world, to create the Talon GT v2.2, our best Talon drone yet!
The Talon GT v2.2 features a well-thought-out design, that is durable, efficient, and our easiest fixed-wing drone to fly. The Talon GT is a perfect drone for those that have never flown a fixed-wing before or are looking for an easy-to-use platform.The Talon GT v2.2 comes standard with the Australian RFD900X telemetry radios that increase your range to 15 km (9.32 mi) and also provide AES-128 encryption, ensuring the data link between your ground station laptop and the Talon is secure at all times.
The Talon GT drone has reinforcements throughout, and the detachable parts of the Talon GT ensure durability. The added value of this is that in the event of a damaged part of the drone, it can be easily removed and replaced. The frame is now constructed from environmentally friendly biodegradable EPP foam, reducing weight while ensuring strength.

The Cube Orange is the standard flight controller option included with your drone. As one of the most popular flight controllers on the market, it offers proven performance and reliability.
In addition, the carrier board also features a 1090 ADS-B uAvionix module with 12 miles (20km) range allowing you to see aircraft operating in your vicinity.
In case you require a US-made flight controller, you can always choose the Cube Blue. The Cube Blue is manufactured in an ITAR-certified factory in California and is designed for operators that require a US-made flight controllers option, such as government or military operators.
Every aspect of the frame has been designed with durability and longevity in mind. The Skywalker features easily removable and replaceable parts, ensuring that damage to any part of the plane can be quickly and easily replaced without rendering the whole drone useless - making this together with the Talon GT, the perfect fixed wing for training. The Skywalker features a sophisticated design throughout every part, from the laminated landing pad to the reverse wingtips which provide greater lift and efficiency.
The battery packs for the Talon GT drone are hand-built at our company facilities using high-quality Samsung 18650 cells.
The batteries are using quality Samsung Li-Ion cells that replace the LiPo packs that were previously used on this drone.
The batteries have a much higher quality while also weighing 32% less than the LiPo battery packs, which results in a longer flight time.
The Talon GT Drone uses the Australian RFD900X telemetry module, giving you the potential to fly up to 15 km (9.32 mi).
The RFD900X also features AES-128 encryption, ensuring the link between your ground station and the Talon GT drone is secure at all times.
The Talon GT has been designed to be easy and simple to transport and set up. Specially designed magnets and clips hold the wings and tail to the frame and ensure that you can assemble or dismantle the frame in less than 2 minutes.When it comes to flying, the ease of use continues. Draw route plans using a Google Maps interface and monitor crucial telemetry information in real-time with Mission Planner software for PC or MAC. Live telemetry and flight data are displayed on the Mission Planner home screen, allowing you to control and monitor the Talon GT drone and its systems as it flies.In addition, you can configure APM settings for your airframe in the software, and download mission log files to analyze them. The Mission Planner software is open-source, and always being updated and improved by thousands of contributors around the world.
